After witnessing her stepfather kill her mother, nightclub singer Monique (Sharon Cuneta) assumes a new identity. She crosses paths with Carding (Robin Padilla), a small-time thief who plays Fagin to a bunch of orphans, and the two immediately fall in love. Far from their problems, the two are ready to settle down and create a home for themselves and the children. But first, they have some old scores to settle from the past.
